We offer two different ADU models, but we can also custom engineer an ADU based on your specifications.
How long does the process take?
Our process is about half the time of a traditional build. With on-site construction taking just 2-5 weeks, we’ll haveyour turn-key ADU ready in no time.
How long does the process take once I decide I want an ADU?
Permit approval takes about 1 month, during which we manufacture all building components. Once permits areapproved, site preparation and construction of your turn-key ADU can be completed in just 2-4 weeks.
Will this structure be approved in the state of California?

Can I choose something other than an office for the ADU space?
Our models are designed to be as versatile as you are. Whether you need extra space for a rental property, mother-in-law suite, Airbnb, workspace, art studio, vacation getaway, personal gym, yoga studio, or entertainment room—the possibilities are endless.
Can utilities be easily connected?
We extend the sewer, water, and electric lines from your home to the desired location of your model on your property. Additionally, a mini-split system for heating and cooling is included with your unit.

How do I find out if my home is approved for an ADU?
We’ve got you covered. Once we have your address, we’ll review your city’s zoning, setback, and property size requirements to confirm that your property qualifies.
What are my financing options?
We can connect you with our preferred lender to explore your financing options. Most clients choose to finance their ADU through a home equity line of credit, cash-out refinance, second mortgage, or renovation loan.
Are EcoSmart ADUs waterproof and fireproof?
EcoSmart ADU’s are waterproof, pest proof, mold resistant and fire resistant for up to 5 hours.
Are EcoSmart Homes modular?
No, EcoSmart ADUs are not modular. We specialize in on-site construction, building from the foundation up.
